RSA INSURANCE IS NOW INTACT INSURANCE

RSA Insurance has today announced that it has officially rebranded to Intact Insurance across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the business.   This transition unites the companies under a single global brand, reflecting a shared purpose, values, and bold growth ambitions. 

The rebrand brings together over 300 years of Irish heritage with the strength of one of the world’s most respected insurers.  Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) is Canada’s largest provider of Property and Casualty insurance, a leading Specialty Lines insurer with international expertise, and a leader in Commercial Lines in the UK and Ireland. It has grown organically and through acquisitions to almost CAD$24 billion of total annual direct premiums written, with a global team of 31,000 employees.

In Ireland, Intact Insurance employs almost 700 people across Dublin, Galway, and Belfast. The company works with brokers nationwide to distribute Commercial, Specialty and Personal Lines solutions and has a direct-to-consumer brand, 123.ie.

Q. When will RSA rebrand to Intact Insurance?
A. On October 6th 2025, RSA rebranded and changed its name to Intact Insurance.

Q. Why are you rebranding to Intact Insurance?
A. As part of Intact we operate in an increasingly interconnected world and having a brand that unites our businesses globally will support our ambition to outperform in the market. We will do this by leveraging our global strength and breath of resources alongside our local technical expertise and capabilities.

Q. Who is Intact?
A. Intact is the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada and a leading provider of specialty insurance globally. Intact acquired all RSA entities in 2021 and this is a natural progression in our journey.

Q. What are some of the changes that I can expect to see with the rebrand to Intact Insurance?
A. From our launch date on 6th October 2025, the Intact Insurance brand will appear on all customer documentation, customer facing channels and on our website. Customer insurance policies will now be underwritten by “Intact Insurance Ireland DAC”. Brokers and customers will notice increased visibility of our brand across marketing, media and communications.

Q. Will there be any changes to customer services support?
A. Our customer service teams remain the same and you will still receive the great service you know and trust.

Q. Will there be any changes to your office locations now that you are Intact Insurance?
A. There are no plans to change any of our office locations in Belfast, Dublin or Galway.

Q. Will branding updates impact co-branded materials or customer documents?
A. Yes, you will start to see our new brand implemented across customer documentation and marketing materials. For a short period of time there may be some crossover whereby customers may see the RSA logo on some documents as we transition over to the Intact Insurance branded documents. We are managing this as efficiently as possible to avoid customer disruption.

Q. Will there be any changes to my existing policy and direct debits with the change-over to Intact?
A. There will be no changes to your existing contract and terms of business. You will still deal with the same great team and our new company name as Intact Insurance. You will notice the name of your bank statements will change to Intact Insurance if you pay your premium via direct debit.

Q. Will the rebrand mean greater investment from Intact in Ireland?
A. We have our strategic roadmap in place for the coming years which aligns closely with the overarching global Intact strategy. Becoming one brand will result in even greater access to a broader set of technical expertise and capabilities as Intact Insurance. We are committed to the Irish market and we will be investing in service, claims, pricing, underwriting and digital capabilities to enhance our customer experience and meet our outperformance ambition.

Q. How are you communicating with customers to inform them of the rebrand and change of name?
A. All existing customers will be contacted in September 2025 informing them of the change of name.

Q. Are there any changes from a Claims perspective?
A. There will be no change from a Claims perspective. Customers will still receive the great service they know and trust.
