IFC aim to achieve net zero emissions overall by 2050 and to halve our operations emissions by 2030.

Our plan includes reduction initiatives, such as minimised energy consumption and reducing corporate travel.

100% of the electricity in our Irish offices are sourced from renewable sources. 

Adapt

We’re doubling down on helping people adapt to the effects of climate change. Our partners are exploring real, concrete solutions to make our communities, our people and our economy more resilient.

We are partnered with the Intact Centre for Climate Adaptation at the University of Waterloo in Canada. They provide practical guidance based on applied research to help people adapt to floods, wildfires and extreme heat.

• Leverage our platform: We can support climate-conscious practises through claims interactions and supply chain initiatives
• Utilise our expertise: Through Intact’s Centre on Climate Adaptation we can use pricing, underwriting, and data to enhance predictive models that will anticipate evolving climate-related impacts.
